AI Overview
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an umbrella term which covers a hell of a lot. And it’s a rapidly-changing landscape with new products and capabilities launching almost daily.
Embracing new tools and platforms to integrate AI assistance into your marketing means a better return on your time and effort for planning, content and strategy.
Right now, the most useful tools include Large Language Models (LLM), Advertising Optimisation, Customer Experience and Predictive Analytics- the right tools to use, and how to get the most from them, is unique for each business’ needs.
AI is already fully integrated into our daily lives via streaming recommendations, spam filters, photo tagging and traffic predictions based on billions of data points. Now’s the time to start integrating it into your marketing too.

Using Generative AI in Marketing
For all their use, the growth of generative programmes like Chat GPT, Le Chat, Claude, Jasper and others has also lead to an onslaught of AI slop. More and more social posts, sales emails and ‘opinions’ sound like just everyone else.
As a starting point, these programmes can fantastic to get you going. However, at the moment they’re just regurgitating what they’ve learned, from what’s already on the web. This means they’re stuck in a feedback loop. A boring, unimaginative loop.
You don’t want to sound like everyone else. Embrace your unique story and stand out from the competition. Use your particular experience, opinions, expertise and knowledge to connect with clients. Create brand trust and loyalty with an authentic voice.
Don’t Give Up Your Credibility
Generative AI regularly gets facts wrong, confidently backing itself up with totally fabricated citations. It can also be easy to spot the tone of AI content straight away, thanks to its repetitive use of a limited number of writing techniques.
Generating product photos with AI might sound like a smart idea in theory, but recent studies have shown that trust in companies that use AI content is low. Only 20% trust brands using AI for marketing visuals (nim.org) and the disclosure of AI imagery is shown to reduce trust and purchase intention in controlled experiments (mdpi.com).
A brand I’d previously respected ended a social post with; “Would you like me to try again in a more formal tone?” Obviously copying the whole AI response without even reading it. That’s immediately showing potential customers a lack of care, which translates subconsciously as lack of care for their money, time or trust.
Sure, you might save time and effort. But you might lose customers. Look ahead. Learn how to avoid potential issues with my AI Integration & Training services.
Why embrace AI Integration?
Understanding how AI tools work means learning how you can use them to your advantage. Avoid the pitfalls and create content with care. Automating menial parts of your online marketing will give you more time to focus on planning, research, content creation and sales growth.
Save time and money, close knowledge gaps and better connect with your customers with AI Integration training.
The Environmental Cost of AI
For all its potential benefits, it’s also worth noting the environmental cost. Training LLM and cooling the data centres which power those models uses an enormous amount of water. Tech companies report they are working on improving the use of recycled water, putting more data centres in cooler climates and offsetting water use. However, until more efficient processes are developed, this is worth keeping in mind.
Businesses who use AI may want to consider doing so in an environmentally responsible way. you can offset the effect with donations or other supports as part of their environmental and social responsibility plan. You may also want to consider creating AI use guidelines for employees.

The Social Cost of AI
AI is often framed as a productivity breakthrough- and in many ways, it is. But alongside the gains, there are social consequences that deserve attention. Automation is reshaping job markets at speed, with some roles evolving and others disappearing.
Not everyone has equal access to retraining or new opportunities, which can widen existing inequalities. There are also broader concerns around bias in automated systems and the spread of AI-generated misinformation. There’s also a growing difficulty in distinguishing between what is real and what is synthetic online.
For businesses, this raises important questions about responsibility. Using AI thoughtfully means considering its impact on employees, customers and wider society. That might involve investing in upskilling, being transparent about where AI is used and ensuring that meaningful human oversight remains in place.
Clear internal policies, a regular review of outputs and an emphasis on fairness and accountability can help organisations benefit from AI without contributing to unintended harm.
